In 2014, a cannabis company decided to call an old abandoned Hershey chocolate factory home. Since that day it was always an ambition of ours to rebuild the Visitor Centre and draw tourism back to the town of Smiths Falls. In August 2018 the Visitor Centre re-opened it’s doors to the public with the purpose to educate the public and break down 95 years of stigma and stereotypes created by prohibition.
As the lead Creative Director for the centre, it was my responsibility to help bring to life an environment that would take the existing 2 dimensional Tweed brand and develop it into an experiential environment. With only 8 months to build, conceptualize and launch, when we opened our doors we were known as the worlds first and only Cannabis Visitor Centre.
